Open plan studio

  • Rāta has an open-plan interior. French doors open onto a large covered verandah with plenty of room to sit outside in the sunshine. 

    Rata has a private native garden where tūī, korimako, pīwakawaka and riroriro sing in the trees. A path winds through the garden to the shore of the inlet, where there is a place for morning coffee or an evening drink, or to watch wading birds ambling on the inlet.

    The kitchen is well equipped for holiday cooking, stocked with herbs, spices and oils, ready for the excellent fresh produce the Nelson Tasman region is known for.

The breakfast box

As an optional extra, we offer a breakfast box, filled with homemade granola, fresh eggs from our hens, seasonal fruit and preserves from our orchard and other delicious local produce. Please enquire with us via email if you would like to add this to your booking. Enough for 2 people for 3 mornings. $120.
